
On 20th June and 29th August, we had 2 separate trips to Laurel Vines Winery in Aike. This began with a short walking tour of the vineyard to learn about viticulture and then the fermentation and bottling areas to better understand how grapes are turned into wine. It is both quite simple but also more complicated than you might think! This was followed by a delicious and relaxing cream tea style lunch with sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, cakes and scones. Following which, there was a white, rose and red wine tasting experience - well it is a vineyard after all!
